Who We Are

Literacy Volunteers of Berkshire County (LVBC) was founded in 1980 and is located at the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield's public library. We are one of twelve affiliates of Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts located in Boston MA.  Our trained and qualified volunteers provide 1-1 tutoring to adults in basic reading and writing, and conversational English for speakers of other languages (ESOL).
