Who We Are
Literacy Volunteers of Berkshire County (LVBC) was founded in 1980 and is located at the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield's public library. We are one of twelve affiliates of Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts, located in Boston MA. Our trained and qualified volunteers provide one on one tutoring in basic reading, writing, and conversational English for adult speakers of other languages (ESOL).
